What can we expect at Apple's next event

In about a week Apple will be hosting one of the most anticipated events since we first heard from the iPhone. Such event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 10 a.m. on January 27.  

It is uncertain what is it exactly that they are cooking up in Cupertino, but due to some thankful leaks and prior clues we could predict what the main event will be about the much rumored and wished Apple Tablet device.

We don't know what it will be called or when will it be available for the public. Apple runs a very secretive organization and they haven't confirmed anything yet. Still we can dare to guess what it could do and here are some estimated guesses;

Multimedia on the tablet
The theory of the tablet is said to be some kind of fusion between the iPod touch and a Mac Book. It's assumed that the properties of such device will have to do with video and music, with no physical keyboard certainly it won't be to make a call or word processing.

There is some speculation that the tablet is one of the reasons apple developed iTunes LP to begin with. The tablet is said to be a more in-depth multimedia experience for full albums and while it works both with a laptop or pc, it would be understandable to be a better fit for any touch screen devices with a large screen, which is what we expect the tablet will be.

It's expected for video to be far more interesting on the  tablet. Apple has an open sea of content available through iTunes that can be played on iPhones, computers, iPods, and Apple TV. Therefore it would make perfect sense that the tablet could have abilities to connect to a screen and have access to iTunes. Rumors mention the possible subscription of  TV shows on iTunes.

Digital books, magazines, and newspapers
Another educated guess would be the device to be about 10 inches, with apple already selling reading material through e-books. It fair to dare to say this device could have a more natural fit for reading than the iPhone or iPod. So therefore I'm sure it is safe to say the tablet is just an over-sized music and video player with a definite Wi-Fi connection.

Gaming
Video games are a big time seller through the App Store, and allegedly Apple sent invitations for the event to gaming publications. This could indicate that games will be part of the tablet in some way, just as the iPhone and IPod Touch.

OS update iPhone
Around this time of year apple introduces a newer software version of the iPhone, giving developers more than enough time to come up with new apps to launch. It has been assumed that this new update to the iPhone would be to scale up to a larger screen. And if that was to be the case it makes perfect sense to announce both the tablet and iPhone update.

Steve Jobs
It is certain that Apple CEO Steve Jobs will be leading the event on January 27, He is expected in his usual attire; black turtle neck sweater, jeans and white tennis shoes. The tablet is the first new device in his category from apple since the iPhone in 2007. Word on the street is that this project has been somewhat of a personal goal for a while now. This is just a mere glance of what to expect next week at the event. Nothing is confirmed at this point other then the fact that an event will be taking place next week. Sit tight for and wait for the details.
